Rottal tradition culture

The people of Rottal are known for their joie de vivre. Why not visit the traditional maypole climbing or the big markets in spring and autumn. In the open-air museum in Massing you can explore the former rural life in the Rottal in several original four-sided farms and stick houses. In the evening, the Artrium in Bad Birnbach will delight you with cultural events and concerts.

Trips to the surroundings

The surroundings of the rural spa are ideal for day trips. Worth seeing, for example, is the three-river city of Passau with the Veste Oberhaus and the St. Stephan’s Cathedral, whose organ system is one of the largest in the world. The Bavarian Forest, Altötting and Burghausen with the longest castle in the world are also worth a visit.

…. Peace, clean air, friendly service

Villages, hamlets and farmsteads are scattered across the old farmland. Among the rolling hills, chapels and church steeples rise into the sky. This is the Rottal, which has managed to preserve its natural beauty. Its villages, markets and towns have such strange names as Zacherlwimm, Wislhub or Wampendobl.
